What I am aiming for
I want anyone to be able to read this site, find how to reach me and book a call, whether they use a keyboard, a screen reader, a phone, large text or a different language. I build and check the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, in English and in Spanish. That is a target I work toward, not a certificate or a guarantee.
What is in place
- A pause button at the top left of every page with moving parts. It stops the background video, the work videos, the scrolling banner and the other animations, and it remembers your choice while you browse. If your device asks for reduced motion, the site starts paused.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- The whole site is available in English and Spanish, and each page says which language it is in.
- Text stays readable and nothing is cut off when you enlarge it to 200 percent or view the site on a screen 320 pixels wide.
How I check
I test with automated checks (axe-core), by using the site with the keyboard only, by measuring text and control contrast, and on phone and desktop widths. Testing with screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver is limited so far, so a screen reader may still find things my checks missed.
Known limits
- The Book a call window is Cal.com’s booking calendar, shown inside this page. I do not control its code, so some parts of it may be harder to use with a keyboard or screen reader. If it does not work for you, email me and we will pick a time by email.
- Links to other sites (social networks and client websites) open those sites, which have their own accessibility.
- The screen recordings of client sites in the Work section are silent and have no captions or audio description. Their text description is on the page, and you can pause them.
Tell me about a problem
If something here is hard or impossible for you to use, or you need the information in another form, email wilderautomates@gmail.com and tell me the page and what went wrong. I aim to reply within 2 business days, and I will find another way to get you what you need, such as sending it by email or setting up a call.
